Perhaps the current focus on the vulnerability of our emergency care system could provide the final wake-up call needed to focus on it once we’ve got through this crisis. We were already in trouble, with no road map out, and ignored in the budget. Time to reconsider priorities?

It seems this is another example of you saying 'do as I say, not as I do' by oversimplifying the solutions and just general revisionism.

But there is unlimited money to train, employ & pay NON-DOCTORS to try & replace actual doctors
Non-doctors do not have the knowledge, qualifications, training, or experience to replace doctors
It's unregulated & it's unsafe

Resident doctors work 70 hours a week in life-or-death conditions, strict rotas, and GMC accountability. MPs earn £93,904 with no contracted hours, no mandatory attendance, less personal risk. The people who keep the NHS running are valued far less than those who merely debate it

I believe you have a professional and moral duty toward your doctor colleagues, and you should boycott advanced practice (ACP) vacancies created by this SATANIC government.

⭕️ Did you know that more than 150 doctors applied for round 2 recruitment in Dermatology, with only 10 jobs available?

⭕️ I recently saw 4 senior ACP jobs created, that’s 40% of the total training jobs available for doctors.

⭕️ The fierce competition ratios and shortage of doctor jobs are all controlled by the government, which wants to:

➖Cheapen the medical profession
➖Bring doctors’ pay down
➖Break the strikes

This is an obvious large-scale replacement of doctors with cheaper staff.

Just for the record: when things start getting even worse in our EDs it's not because our teams don't know how to do their jobs, or because of strikes, and whilst flu won't be helping it's not just that either. It's because there are no beds to start with. Already.

I acted no differently than… Matt Hancock who referred 4 companies, Lord Agnew & Lord Feldman who referred 3 companies each, Lord Chadlington who was actually a director & shareholder of a parent company that won 2 contracts worth £23.9m & £26.1m respectively.

And let’s not forget Michael Gove & his referral of 4 contracts to his friend David Meller of David Meller Group Ltd’
