.@JamesTalarico: The only minority destroying America is the billionaires. Trans people are 1% of the population. Muslims are 1% of the population. Undocumented people are 1% of the population. We are focused on the wrong 1%.
Trans people aren't taking away our healthcare. Muslims aren't defunding our schools. Immigrants aren't cutting taxes for themselves and their rich friends. It’s the billionaires and their puppet politicians.
The culture wars are a smokescreen. They want us looking left and right at our neighbors instead of looking up at them. The biggest divide in our politics is not left versus right, it’s top versus bottom.
Just wanted to point out that Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff is quite possibly the most vulnerable Senator in America right now and tonight, he voted no on this deal.
This is what courage looks like.
@PrincessFrance still at it i see. just hope this constant bashing is not to prop up your own "idol" as such a shame to throw your scruples just to please/ boost someone else.
President Trump and Congressional Republicans just shut down the government because they refused to stop your health care costs from rising.
Let me be clear: Republicans are in charge of the White House, House, and Senate. This is their shutdown.
As Trump mocks Biden's cancer & calls him an SOB, reminder, when Donald was shot, Joe issued immediate statement saying he was grateful Trump was safe & "There's no place in America for this kind of violence. We must unite as one nation to condemn it."
We are not the same.
The suspension of @jimmykimmel and the promise to silence other Late Night hosts for criticizing the administration should disturb everyone on the Right, Left, and Center. It’s wrong and anyone with a conscience knows it’s wrong.
Political violence from any party or any ideology is a direct assault on the foundations of democracy and the rule of law; it seeks not to persuade but to intimidate, not to debate but to destroy. In every instance it corrodes the public trust, diminishes our shared institutions, and replaces reasoned discourse with fear and coercion. Whatever our differences, they must be resolved through the peaceful exchange of ideas, the ballot box, and the institutions that safeguard our freedoms, not through threats, intimidation, or bloodshed.
