A glimmer of hope and pride. I hope @mikeroweworks sees this. My 9-year-old grandson wanted this faddish backpack that is all the rage now for school. Parents would not buy it for him. He worked for it by cleaning trashcans! Lessons practiced: buying and budgeting supplies; not giving up when turned away; how to eliminate maggots. He cleared enough money in one day to buy the backpack as well as lunch box and water bottle. Also negotiated 4 weekly/monthly contracts.
