Ok #meded#MedTwitter It's time to leave.
I loved what #Twitter gave me when I joined up.
A nice community of medics, sharing stories, sharing education.
I'm not getting that now, so ... So long.
I'm off to try @Peerr_io and work on @LinkedIn
A sad day for English football fans’ partners.
The incidence of domestic violence goes up after England loses.
If you are affected by this please contact your local service.
If you work in healthcare remember that people may seek help through you because of this.
Dispatches on C4 24/06 is going to be a difficult watch. Working in EM feels like a war and it brutalises many staff. Please remember these are caring professionals whose work environment prevents them doing the job they were trained to do, but they still come back day after day.
Thanks #C4NHSdebate
Sadly no real solutions beyond the inevitable request for more money💰and the joyful fingers crossed 🤞 “we need to be optimistic for the future”
Reminds me of bed management meetings before a bank holiday weekend
@foxinsoxuk Absolutely. I’m tired of political rhetoric about the NHS.
All mention a mix of the following phrases:
Millions of pounds
New
More
GPs
Doctors
Hospitals
Nurses
Shorter waiting lists
Investment
Better
And then blame the previous administration.
#NoRealSolutions
As I watch this, and it’s a difficult watch for anyone who cares deeply about the NHS, I have to say (again) I’m very impressed by Dr Adrian Boyle @RCEMpresident
We need more senior leaders calling out terrible standards in the NHS, speaking truth to power.
All College Presidents (and AoMRC) should #BeMoreAdrian
Thank you Adrian for all that you do

Quite nice to have a debate on the #NHS without politicians!
The NHS is tired of being a political football and since 1948 no political party has covered themselves in glory about how the NHS is managed.
Time for a cross-party style of leadership?
#C4NHSdebate
@RCollEM@C4Dispatches@RCEMpresident HOWEVER, the solutions to the inhumane situations that patients experience in emergency departments lie largely outside of emergency medicine. Risk needs to be shared across the entire hospital whilst system solutions are prioritised by NHS Leaders & Politicians #notjustmoremoney
This isn't winter, this isn't one A&E, this isn't one system. It's everywhere, and it is entirely avoidable by prioritising safe & dignified emergency care. Stop blaming patients and driving "efficiency" and "redirection" - whole system approach is not just the front door...
@C4Dispatches@RCollEM@RCEMpresident Will be interesting to see the debate as a result of this brave reporting by #c4dispatches of #emergencycare
I feel so sad for all those patients; and also for the staff depicted presumably without their consent and probably are identifiable within their Trust
Fun evening of TV ahead thanks to @Channel4 and #dispatches
Will be really interesting to see what the take is on this and the debate with @krishgm afterwards.
#EM as always the canary in the coal mine for the #NHS
