1/ 🧵I can't keep up with Mr Barclay's claims about consultant's pensions, last month (17th July @thetimes) it was £60,000 pensions, now the claim is "consultants when they retire *now* aged 65 will get a *tax-free* pension of £73,000" ?!

@DocEd Good luck getting anything other than fentanyl and midaz out from the cath lab CD cupboard! And that will be only a 100mcg of fentanyl too 😂

@nagasriMD Yup. Even with plausible mechanisms, given that the evidence suggesting a significant contribution of anaesthetic choice is weak at best in the context of major cardiac surgery it is almost inconceivable it will have any effect at all on a short endoscopic case.

@carlafrancome @EvansCycles They also hadn’t attached the derailleur hanger properly, had stripped out the threads on a barrel adjuster and hadn’t torqued up the bottom bracket.

@carlafrancome @EvansCycles They’ve still not taken this serious component failure seriously at all and have just stuck to the fact it’s over 12 months old. I’ve ridden numerous bikes regularly for commuting and for fun over the last 15years and never had anything like this.

@Aidan_Baron Cultural expectations. Seems most Aussie gastroscopes are done with GA as opposed to 🇬🇧 with nothing (even when you’re only 13 as was my experience!)
