@laurapannack I actually have some data recovery software I keep in the cloud for this exact situation, I can sent it if you need. Also, as @robertgumpert suggested try to ascertain where the SD card will mount (is readable). Hope this helps.
@laurapannack As suggested test a different card in the card to see whether or not it's the camera or the card that's at fault. If the same thing happens with the new card, then sorry, it doesn't look good. But if writes fine then put the original SD card though data recovery software.
@duckrabbitblog We had an interesting discussion on the ethics of NGOs and photo agencies last week during a workshop at Yale-NUS in Singapore. Thank you for the work you’re doing, many conversations are being had offline.
@paulreas @DocResearchUSW@masteoneseven Cheers for the tag guys, but I think it was meant to be @DocPhotUSW. Yes, I went to Newport. Yes, I’m still a documentary photographer, lol. New book: Lima Sites - The story of Secret War out next year! Best wishes from Singapore/Laos.
@duckrabbitblog I've said this from the beginning (sigh). Digitalising assets doesn't mean you can just dump everything online and leave it to the interns to tag it. Challenging work shouldn't be made public without professional Picture Researchers and Editors to verify and contextualise it.
