Imagine passing some of the hardest medical exams in the world against all odds
Continuing your career. 2 yrs later told you didn’t actually pass
Or
Failing your exam. Your career stalled for years, as you can’t progress without. 2 yrs later told actually passed

I’m speaking on a podcast for foundation doctors and residents as part of my role as LTFT chair? What do you want residents to know about LTFT training? If you are a resident what do you want to hear?
Following the news of the Southport incident as a mother of young girls and paediatrician is harrowing. I know the girls will have the NHS’s finest working to save them, thoughts with all and hoping that psychological support is available for the brave staff looking after them ❤️
I cannot imagine what it must be like for the lionesses to have WON the euros, then get 2nd in the World Cup, just for Harry Kane to say ‘England hasn’t won anything as a nation for a long, long time’.
Also, female athletes have won gold at the last FOUR Winter Olympics 🙃
📣 RSV vaccination programme announced! 📣#CampaignWin
This is a crucial step to protect children’s health & reduce pressure on the NHS during winter.
Thank you to the 2,000+ paediatricians & healthcare professionals who signed our open letter & helped make this happen.
Pregnant? Congratulations!
From 1st September, you can protect your baby from the single commonest reason infants are admitted to hospital, which is absolutely tremendous news.
Speak to your midwife or GP about RSV vaccination.

I spoke to the reception teacher at school today about cars with their engines running outside the school gates with the RCPCH Clean Air Charter in mind. Amazing chat and she’s going to email the council to get the zig zag lines extended 👏🏼
Had the privilege of speaking at @RCPCHtweets Educational Supervision Roadshow this afternoon about my ES of 10 years in a talk about Longitudinal Educational Supervision… an overwhelmingly positive experience for us both 🙌🏻
@mstotty88 Agree to be fair! In paediatrics our consultants are really involved and can be called for opinion about tricky cases / to attend a sick child / for volume of workload 24/7.
@beccyjanehealey @EmergMedDr When I went to family court the barristers spent a very long time establishing how many years of training I had, how long I had been qualified etc etc
@EmergMedDr Sorry I’m not usually one to join in with such things but there will be Paeds ST trainees desperate to get experience of CP medicals, where are they?
I am absolutely loving my Gen Paeds rotation after the trauma of PICU. With consultancy looming, is this a rebound love or true love? How can I tell? 😂
I can’t say how furious I am. occupational health in our deanery is reached through HR referral, that step makes it feel disciplinary. our GPs are already overstretched and there’s unique needs for medical professionals seeking mental health support that PHP just “get”
