🚨‼️Rising Cancers in Young Adults - India needs to save its demographic dividend! 🇮🇳
🚨 Cancer in India is rising -- especially among young adults, and young women are being disproportionately affected.
Not just breast and cervical cancer, but also lung cancer among non-smoking women. Even for breast and cervical cancer, screening uptake is abysmally low. Why?
Because cancer doesn’t get the “instant drama” of a heart attack caught in a social media reel.
Because too often, oncologists talk only among themselves in medical conferences.
I urge oncologists to join my effort to take this conversation to the highest levels of policy-making.
📊 I have created a short, focused survey (10-15 mins) for oncologists that could directly influence national strategy.
We can only make this happen if you respond.
It’s easy to be cynical. But it’s more important to be part of the solution.
🫱🏽🫲🏽 Oncologists, please take the survey. Share it with peers. Let’s ensure India is ready to face the cancer crisis among its youth.

Tomorrow is #WorldCancerDay..if there's one thing you do -- read this thread & share it with others. Trust me, it will benefit them more than watching the 'viral' reels of 'health influencers'🧵

This message may not gain the same attention as Mr. Sidhu's misleading claims, but if you see value in it, please share it with those you care about. I aim to clarify the false information spread by Mr. Sidhu regarding using the word ‘cure' for Stage 4 cancers, the impact of diet and lifestyle, and the notion of 'miracle cures.'
It's crucial to understand that common home remedies can interact with your cancer treatment. Just because a kadha helps with your seasonal cough or cold does not imply it will be effective for, or capable of curing, cancer.
@urvashi01 Secondly the cancer cell has evolved to change its environment your changing food doesn’t command the cell to change its function as food doesn’t reach there. It goes through multiple processes and changes to be useful to body.
@urvashi01 Thanks for highlighting this. First Of all class 8 biology
Blood in body maintains PH at 7.4- alkaline. You can’t make it more alkaline as it’s one of the most tightly controlled processes in the body.
@BigOhealth@sherryontopp And i request everyone to apply logic first then look at data and research carefully just saying something is not research. Then and only then expose yourself to any treatment - irrespective who advised
@urvashi01 This is Absurd and unethical. It’s not what I or you believe. Mr Sidhu should have at least put out all the treatments she received. What cancer ???Any targeted therapy any immunotherapy? If anyone gets harmed on this diet will the law allow to take Mr Sidhu to court?
I appeal to top oncologists to please clarify the situation on this 🙏 Misinformation/half information is EXTREMELY dangerous but also as a patient extremely irritating because you get constant ‘advice’ from all quarters & just don’t know what to do! Does starving cells of sugar really reverse/cure cancer? Does chewing neem leaves help? Does intermittent fasting help? Lemon water? PLEASE address all of this for the sake of patients.
Tagging a few oncologists I know/know of here.

.@TakedaPharma@TakedaOncology I can’t believe you are not providing compassionate access in a geography like India that REALLY needs it! ALK patients from poor families are literally dying for lack of drugs as I write this tweet. Please WAKE UP & show some humanity. These are REAL humans we are talking about, not mere statistics.
