@zuess05 Its not all spaghetti. If it is they you are doing it wrong. My codebase has improved immesurably - performance, security, test coverage, architectural strategy - all way better. If this isn't the outcome you're letting the tail wag the dog.
@SuellaBraverman This was all instituted under your watch. Blocking 1 bill does not wash your hands, this is 100% the tories fault, they allowed the poison of DEI and the extreme stonewall agenda to become institutionalised.
@TheGeorgePu Its the AI capabilities gap - not everyone is cut out for the new world of AI, even if they have a long career in traditional IT. It is dividing the developer community.
hey @Microsoft - with all your AI - copilot, all the hosting of chatgpt etc, why isn't teams better yet? A simple copy button beside a post where I can cleanly copy the text out is all I want for Christmas (last Christmas that is).
@AishwaryaDevv The tail was wagging the dog here. Fine to let AI tools cut syntax, you should always have been in control of architecture. Vibe coding != Software Engineering.
@hunvreus 20 agents overnight=running unsupervised and generating slop mountain. Good AI usage is VERY dev intensive. Results are outstanding, but working harder than ever before. Agents doing irregular tasks = pilot leaving the controls and wondering why that mountain is getting close!
@srisha_permude@paraschopra Are you chatting to setup/configure openclaw itself? That's expensive API token burn. Use claude cli to configure/manage openclaw out of your sub, openclaw then only burns runtime tokens which claude can tune to the most appropriate/cost effective model.
@dev_maims There's plenty of the software engineering landscape which AI doesn't cover - architecture, design, teamwork, customer interaction. They are also all loss-leading to jostle for position, when the real cost escalator begins it will curtail expansion.
@eliana_jordan No, it really didn't. Changed the nature of the job like every other new good toolset. If you think it replaced good developers you get filed in the "slop producer" bucket.
@Jashanx_gill anyone worth their shit is using both + others. They all have their strengths/weaknesses and running claude on opus max full time until you bump the usage limit is just lazy
@zuess05 Where are we on the curve? AI today is the WORST it will ever be - it only gets better from here (for a while at least, Moore's law?). Those claiming "old school engineering" may be swamped, only the token price escalator stands in the way.
