A job advert for a PA working basically as a GP being first contact for undifferentiated, undiagnosed patients.

They’ve specified **NO previous primary care experience required** 🚩

Let’s be v clear. GPs are CONSULTANTS in Primary care - completing foundation & specialist postgraduate training with rigorous exams throughout.

It’s like advertising a job for a cardiology consultant for someone without a medical degree & NO cardiology experience?!

When @Paulscriven stopped talking nonsense about ‘toxic debate’, he actually made a valid point.

He stated that PAs should be assessed on their rate of never events compared to other staff.

B) it’s wild that PA ‘registration’ is still going ahead with its outcomes
