@OrleyFarmSchool I beg to differ to the last comment Orley. I intervened when my son was doing too much prep one evening. I stopped him doing the next piece of work, emailed the teacher to explain but he was rewarded with a red warning anyway. I won’t be able to stop him in future.

@LondonAllergy the justification for NA and not adrenaline. I can see avoidance of adrenaline in SVT May have been a thought process. There is nothing quite like the magic of adrenaline in anaphylaxis.

@LondonAllergy I read from this that a clinical suspicion of anaphylaxis was low. Perhaps there was cardiovascular collapse and usually for a desired effect of vasoconstriction the alpha effects of metaraminol and NA were used. This would be our normal for opposing the vasodilatiation of GA

@LondonAllergy drugs, regional Anaesthesia and sepsis. The fact the patient is on Teic either suggests they are having a significant Orthopaedic procedure to me. The doses of metaraminol and NA are very significant. If there was an absence of urticaria, and raised airway pressures this was

@Hopewellcj The chapter on dealing with mass casualty in the Oxford Handbook of Medical Specialties explicitly states that as the first person on scene, the priority is triage. It's how you can save the maximum number of lives.

This is a horrible headline for someone doing their level best.

@Hopewellcj The other half of the sentence is missing.....he had to evaluate the risk to multiple lives and triage the situation as per major incident policy. By not being fixated on individuals in front of him, he can have more impact for saving more lives. Poor guy being misrepresented.
