If you’re frustrated with your kids’ school re: covid, engage them and see what their understanding is and how willing they are to learn.
I’m happy to assist, if you need someone to talk to your principal, school board, risk management, etc.

@michaelmina_lab@BrianOFahey1 Every time I get titers checked, my mumps IgG is just over or under threshold and I have to get another vaccine and have mumps antibodies checked. Depends on the employer whether they accept the letter that I’m a vaccine nonresponder for the mumps component. Rinse, repeat!
@michaelmina_lab RFK Jr is an idiot and unqualified. He should have to sit next to a child dying of a vaccine preventable illness and then explain to parents why that was better than a safe vaccine.
My first go around with this nasty little virus. I recently became slightly less vigilant about masking in the context of a newly complicated set of circumstances at home. Acquired covid immediately. Clinically bizarre to have an acute illness that waxed and wanes.
@RadioFreeTom@vanbadham Brexit is a reenactment on a national scale of Aesop’s fable about the dog who saw his own reflection in the water, and dropped the bone from his mouth when he tried to grab the one that other dog had.
Only one on the plane still masking. I figure it saves y’all some tax dollars by not missing days doctoring and means i don’t have to miss days dadding, running, riding, swimming.
Stay safe, homies.
The endgame is to end the nonsense. Publish and report on all available data.
Install clean air technology; not just ventilation but purification.
Require respirators until it’s done.
Save time until better vaccines are available.
At that point, it can become choose your own adventure.
But we live in a society. Society is supposed to work together to advance health and quality of life.
Sharing virus-laden air and misinformation about its existence, how it spreads & the damage it does to throw us backwards obviously destroys our social fabric.
33 seconds! That’s how long it took me to realise leaving Twitter was a healthy decision after I stopped in to check old messages.
Recommence radio silence!
@Katplns@RyanMarino @MichelletypoQ Show me a chiropractor that has tried to have their techniques studied scientifically.
The PTA literature uses sound research methodology. The chiropractic literature doesn’t because it doesn’t exist.
If you find a chiro helpful, go for it. But n = me isn’t science.
The normalization of a lack of physical activity in our modern society has led to the perception that exercise is an “intervention”.
However, physical activity remains the modus vivendi engrained in our genes and being sedentary has been the real intervention and collateral effect of modern societies.
Human genome hasn’t evolved yet to be sedentary…Hence, being sedentary is still the intervention…It has been in front of our eyes and one of the most profound biological interventions in the history of humankind...
For decades, most medical research studies have used "healthy sedentary" individuals as the control group.....How much good information have we missed or how much misleading information have we obtained?...
Time to think differently...
Call me radical, but I believe patients have a RIGHT to get safely treated - without us giving them a preventable infectious disease while they are in hospital.
My thoughts in @westaustralian this week.
@GYamey The Cure is in constant rotation here. Robert Smith’s voice is remarkably well preserved, by the way. Heaps of live footage on YouTube, really hard to tell he’s not in his early 20’s. Lovely guy, too.
@SeattleiteLeo I hope your child recovers quickly w/no downstream effects. Similar situation in my son’s school…I made a ventilation system that kept it covid free x 2 years. Then they stopped using it, now have my son and partner home sick with the vids so I canceled work, can’t see patients.
Have to say I think the same since moving to Oz. We changed our house in the US to LED and replaced nothing in 6 years. In Oz, the fizzle out ALL THE TIME. Anyone else?
I will say anecdotally the amount of zoster we have seen is astronomical, and skewed toward much younger patients. Same with cutaneous candidiasis that becomes diffuse. Not cool!
Forget death rate for a moment, forget that we have a NEW THIRD LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH, add up the new morbidity. It's staggering:
Long Cøvid
60% ⬆️ shingles
1 in 20 new diabetes cases due to SARS-COV-2
⬆️ in cardiovascular disease
Acceleration of dementia
etc etc
