In the 01940s, the Reber Plan proposed damming San Francisco Bay to turn it into two vast freshwater lakes. The Army Corps of Engineers built the Bay Model in 01956 to test the effects of the proposal. Before computer modeling, there was only one way to simulate a hydrological system as enormous and complex as the Bay Area: build it. 

The Long Now team recently visited the model, which remained an active research tool until 02000, and got to experience the “miniature” up close (it’s 1.5 acres!). It is housed in a cavernous warehouse on the Sausalito waterfront, and its tides still run on a compressed clock, with a full “day” passing every 15 minutes.

The Reber Plan was ultimately abandoned after the model showed it would completely devastate the ecosystems and estuaries. The Bay Model is a remarkable artifact from an era of slide rules and analog science. A reminder of what it looks like to test our largest decisions with patience before committing future generations to the consequences.

I have always respected Tommy Robinson for his work on the rape gangs - he gave evidence to our inquiry, and it was remarkable to hear his level of knowledge. It contributed massively to our findings.

Tommy was fair and balanced. I learnt a lot.

He has not been treated fairly by our establishment for many years, and today is the latest example of that.

To be honest, I believe it is a disgrace.

He was right on the rape gangs. The state was wrong.

They want to vilify him for that.

The media, the justice system, Labour, the Tories, Farage. It was made very clear to me when I was in Reform that I was not to praise Tommy Robinson publicly. I did regardless.

The entire establishment is against him.

My view is this - he has done more than any politician to uncover the rape gangs, and for that I thank him.

In the middle of World War Two, German soldiers in southeastern Poland started avoiding a cluster of villages.

They wouldn't go in. They wouldn't take people out for forced labor. They put up warning signs and stayed away.

They believed the area was infected with typhus.

It wasn't. Two doctors had invented the whole thing.

The man behind it was Eugene Lazowski, a young Polish doctor working for the Red Cross in the town of Rozwadów. He was watching the Nazi occupation tear his country apart. Executions. Deportations. People shipped off to labor camps, many never coming back.

He wanted to stop it. He had no weapons, no army, and no way to fight.

What he had was medicine.

His friend and fellow doctor, Stanisław Matulewicz, had discovered something strange. If you injected a person with a harmless, dead strain of a certain bacteria, their blood would test positive for typhus.

They wouldn't be sick at all. But on paper, they'd look like they had one of the most feared diseases of the war.

And the Germans were terrified of typhus. It spread fast, it killed, and it could tear through an army. When the Germans found it, they quarantined the area and kept their distance.

Lazowski realized what that meant. If he could make enough people look infected, the Germans would leave the whole region alone.

So he started injecting his patients.

He chose carefully. He sent the blood samples to German labs for testing, exactly as the rules required. The results came back positive. Again and again.

The Germans declared an epidemic zone. Villages were quarantined. Soldiers kept out. People who would have been seized for forced labor or worse were left alone, because nobody wanted to go near them.

Lazowski had to be careful. If too many cases looked fake, someone would ask why nobody was dying. So he spread out the injections over time and kept the outbreak believable.

Eventually the Germans did get suspicious. They sent a team of doctors to inspect.

Lazowski met them with food and vodka and played the gracious host. He guided them toward the sickest looking, dirtiest patients he could find, in the most crowded rooms. The German doctors, worried about catching typhus themselves, took a few samples and left in a hurry.

The tests came back positive.

The fake epidemic lasted until the end of the war. Estimates say it may have protected around 8,000 people.

Lazowski also secretly helped Jews from the nearby ghetto, giving them medical care at enormous risk.

After the war he moved to the United States and became a professor of pediatrics in Chicago. For decades he barely talked about what he'd done. Late in life he finally wrote a memoir. He called it My Private War.

He died in 2006.

He never fired a shot. He beat the Nazis with a needle and a lab test.

I attended Dr Morrisey's "hearing" yesterday at the IMC, to hear from the Council's "expert" that: "the public were not coerced into taking a Covid vaccines - they took them "by their own free will" and also the "expert" informed us all that Covid Vaccines are "not genetic vaccines" as Dr Morrisey has asserted - They are (and I quote) "gene based vaccines".

Apparently there is a difference. A bit like the difference between a ham sandwich and a 'ham based sandwich"?

The "toxic medicine" Dr Morrisey is being prosecuted for treating his patients with is Hydroxychloroquine... available over the counter in many countries... the same Medicine that Donald Trump was taking when he had Covid.

There will never be an honest Covid inquiry, or honest Medicine in Ireland as long as these truly horrible people remain in Government.

In order to get more organs, the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) is CHANGING a longstanding rule that protects potential donors.

Historically, there has been a strict separation between those caring for the patient’s health, and those others whose primary interest is in that patient’s organs.

Doctors caring for patients have been prohibited from discussing organ donation, and people from the organ procurement system have been prohibited from approaching family until AFTER the difficult decision to withdraw support has been made.

But the OPTN, which runs the nation's organ system, is relaxing that rule.

Under their new guidelines, organ procurement teams will now be authorized to talk with families earlier — while they are still considering whether or not to let go.

University of Rochester bioethicist Dr. Lainie Ross strongly opposes the new rule, which is set to take effect next month:

“I think it's actually a really serious and really bad move. I'm horrified to think that families will feel pressured. They'll feel manipulated. They'll feel distrustful - that the docs are looking out for some person who needs an organ and not for their loved one in the bed.”

Dr. Ross is correct. Now, not only will families and caregivers be pressured to discontinue care more quickly, but
people will have no way of knowing whether doctors are working to protect and preserve their loved ones’ life, or if they are just trying to obtain their valuable, viable organs.

The 1086 survey counted about 1.4 million people in England. Roughly one in ten were outright slaves. Most of the rest were villeins: tied to the land, unable to leave, marry or die without the lord taking his cut. Merchet when a daughter married. Heriot when a man died.

It ended from below. After 1348 there weren’t enough hands, and the people who were left named their price. The 1381 rising failed, and the system died anyway. By 1500 serfdom in England was finished. Nobody abolished it. People walked off it.
