Not only were the lectures excellent, but chatting in person with colleagues after several years away, was educational and wonderful. That in-person interaction, between lectures, is probably the most educational part of the meeting.

So for epithelial tumors, it’s perhaps more important to concentrate on excision of the edge. then, at follow up it remains more important concentrate on the former edge of the tumor. Fascinating study.
Tumor cells exist in a 3D environment and have variable access to space and resources. There's evidence that cells on the edge have an advantage. If true, this profoundly affects how cells compete and which lineages expand. 2/13
