@MaryBowdenMD The answer lies in your tweet
28000 medical students graduating
44000 residency spots
Meaning almost all 28000 get the spots they want. A small minority doesn’t match as their CV may not be competitive enough for their dream specialty.
Foreign grads fill only the vacant spots!
@slmimorgan@drrajeshraina@treatyoma@RockEnnRolla@libsoftiktok@CommunityNotes It’s said that she underwent surgery to replace the valve. No cardiologist can correct the mistake of a CT surgeon but the converse may be true. Since that is the level of your understanding about the topic, why don’t you pipe down and let the experts decide!
@ChandlerForPB Do you even know the kind of training he has completed in the US? Did it occur to you that he must have performed 1000s of such surgeries which were successful and went completely unnoticed?
@angelaira@ipny12@AhmadRehanKhan Are you for real? I can cite as many examples of fraud, theft and cheating from American newspapers or any country for that matter. Doesn’t mean that everyone is a fraud!
Specifically this guy certainly wasn’t a quack and I agree there are quacks in India
@MyUnveiledTruth@votreami1 Your post reflects a serious lack of insight and ability to think analytically. Poverty exists in India because of greedy, corrupt politicians!
This guy was a highly trained surgeon, probably 140+IQ. Details on what exactly happened are yet to emerge
@MyUnveiledTruth In addition, no examiner who grades the paper will be willing to award more than a score of 60%.
If anything, it’s more rigorous and passing is not easy! Do some research about all these before coming to a conclusion based on the 40% score
@MyUnveiledTruth That’s a nonsensical argument talking about the 40% needed to pass. You have no idea how exams are conducted in India!
It’s not a MCQ test. It’s a theoretical test which means you need to write and know anything and everything about a topic!
@MartinZ_uncut It’s an allopathic degree. Same as the one awarded in the UK. It’s got the same standards if not more rigorous standards. That was just medical school. He has completed residency and fellowship training in the US in his field of practice which is CT surgery!
@fundoo77@libsoftiktok The illiterate racist morons just can’t understand that he must have done 1000s of surgeries which were successful and completely unnoticed and that’s why he holds the position he does!
If expert witnesses confirm this error, certainly they’ll get a huge compensation!
@drjoshcsimmons@EdwardTWinz@grok A bunch of manufactured nonsense! Some anecdote of a visa officer from early 2000s and a fake degree racket bust by Indian police in the state of Kerala of people who used it for Indian jobs!
Using both to create a fake narrative that Indians in the US have fake degrees!
@EdwardTWinz That fake doctor fear mongering is complete nonsense! Indian origin docs in the US have to go through US residency/fellowship training in order to
practice in the US in addition to passing all 3 steps of the USMLEs
@Xking332 Lol are you really that dense? Yes fake degrees were busted by “Indian” police but that doesn’t mean all Indians in the US have fake degrees. My head hurts explaining this 🤦♂️
@JayantBhandari5 Stop being an emotional self loathing moron and start being objective if you need to maintain credibility!
While I agree with most of your analysis about the subcontinent, the stuff Richard mentions are certainly positives!
India does have it’s chunk of people with 130+IQ
@DrInsensitive Arguments so typical of an illiterate basement dwelling conspiracy theory muncher! Picks up some Indian names from regulatory agencies and attaches a conspiracy 🤦♂️
