Reminder: nurses do not report to us, physicians. RNs are not our “subordinates,” “assistants,” or of a “lower rank.” They’re not “under us,” they have their own managers. RNs have an entirely different job and skillset. We can’t do what they do and vice versa. We are colleagues.
