new dodaios update
v3.0 is out.
your agents can now run on hermes or openclaw, right next to the built-in one, and the agentic ide has a new thread view next to the terminal grid.
521 commits since 2.9.0, so here are 90 seconds of real screen recording instead of a list.
(recorded on 3.1.1, before the rename, so the app still says jarvis in places)
the rename is done.
personal jarvis is now dodaios everywhere: the repo, pypi, the installers, the command and the app itself. not one file in the repo carries the old name anymore.
pip install dodaios, then run dodaios.
your old jarvis command, your data and your saved keys come along by themselves, and older installs still find the update.
it took a few bumpy releases. thanks for bearing with us, the rename trouble should be over now.
we rebuilt the screenshot tool in dodaios.
press both shift keys and the drawing tools are already up. drag an area or click a window, and the moment you let go it's in your chat.
want to point at something? draw an arrow first, press tab, then drag the area. the arrow comes along.
hovering now lights up the part of a window under your mouse: the nav bar, a picture, the whole page. scroll to grow it, click to take it.
the first part is in v4.0.1, the hover part comes with the next release.
the browser in the agentic ide is now your real chrome.
not a mini browser that half the web refuses to load: your own profile, already logged in everywhere, with your extensions and tabs.
open the browser tab in the side panel, pick a profile, and it sits right next to your agents. drag the panel and it grows with it.
works with chrome, edge and brave. windows for now, mac and linux keep the built-in view.

coding with an agent doesn't have to mean handing it the repo.
i write the failing test. claude code makes it pass. i review the diff, run pytest and commit. the agent opens the PR and CI goes green.
all in one window, real recording.
the git tab in dodaios is now a full source control panel.
stage, discard and commit file by file, see what changed at a glance, and follow every branch, tag and merge in the commit graph.
and when several coding agents work in one repo, one click in an agent's pane shows only the files that session changed, committed or not.
works with claude code, codex, opencode, kimi and more.
coming in the next release.
@Av1dlive Looking for contributors on Dodaios, an open-source desktop app for running multiple coding agents side by side. Good first issues are tagged: https://t.co/WAYNm69PhL
the code editor in dodaios can now show your files side by side.
drag a tab to the left or right of the text and it opens in its own column. drag it to the top or bottom and it stacks.
as many as you need, each with its own tabs.
coming in the next release. a quick look:
@kimmonismus@thsottiaux@AlphaMFPEFM With the old plans you barely had any usage. With my Claude 20x subscription I have the feeling I have at least 3x more usage.
hermes and openclaw agents: pick the type when you create one. it brings its own tools, plus your memory and skills.
give it a job in one message, like "you're my inbox reviewer, every weekday at 8:00". it names its own role and schedules the routine, right next to the chat.

in ten days we took 367 screenshots to show dodaios what we mean.
344 were an area we dragged with the mouse. the shortcut that sends the whole window, the one we built first, fired 10 times.
so: crop before you send.
the numbers, and three things that broke:
