@SkyNews As I remember all the HV bushings were ejected and it burnt for ages possibly indicating a main body over pressurisation and lot of retained heat deep in the copper core. Details of routine dissolved gas analysis of the transformer oil that should be carried out would be telling.

@tnmoc Looks like a Creed 7B. I used to use one for radio teletype over amateur radio (RTTY) in the late 70’s. A clever piece of electro-mechanical engineering! Bit noisy though!!
