What an absolute disgrace. A FIFA-certified referee being denied entry to the United States purely because he is Somali.
The World Cup is meant to bring people together. This is racism, plain and simple. Shameful.

From Oyo to Zamfara. Different regions, same embarrassment. While online idiots who don’t even have PVCs are busy spreading hate arguing who is worse between North and South, Fulani Hausa Yoruba or Igbo.
A people completely defeated.
Yesterday evening, funeral prayer in absentia (Salat al-Gha'ib) was held in Besse, Kebbi State, for Malam Yahaya Tanko Besse, chairman of JIBWIS (Izala) in Koko-Besse LGA, who reportedly died while in captivity after being abducted by bandits on May 18, 2026 alongside his friend who is also APC Party chairman in Koko-Besse LGA.
Religious leaders, government officials and hundreds of residents gathered to pray for the deceased as news of his death spread across the country.
How many more community leaders must be lost to insecurity before effective protection reaches vulnerable communities?
Gas finished last night and the kids were craving shawarma, I was too. Hubby said to go out to get it for all of us with drinks for dinner, I punched my calculator to see how much it will cost for a family of 5.
I arrived at over 35k. 12kg gas now cost 24k, we would use it 4weeks at least. I chose gas over shawarma.
That is for a family where both partners work and earn decently. We couldn't even afford a basic treat without punching the calculator. Everything extra is now considered luxury
Now imagine the life of a child whose both parents are skilless, unemployed or earns meagerly.
I know many of you will come and ask if shawarma is food, no it's not but everyone deserves a treat once in a while.
We all know what we are doing but you people should fear Allah.
You never see anything. When we talk against Riba (interest), many of you think I am against investment or economic growth.
He is here complaining because he is at the receiving end. The 50% interest Opay wants you to pay is the amount of your sweat they want eat for helping you at the moment of distress.
This is exactly why Islam forbids Riba. Lending money should be a cause for charity and community support, not a tool to trap a struggling person in debt. If a person was fine, will he borrow money? He is borrowing money because it has been become a necessity for him.
And if you expect or demand even 1 naira addition to the money you lent out, you are not helping anyone, you are exploiting them.
If you want to make a profit, take your capital, go into the market, and do actual business. Put skin in the game, take a risk, and share both profit and loss.
But sitting back and using someone's desperate situation to automatically multiply your wealth is wicked. Riba (interest) does not build wealth, it just sucks the life out of the person who actually works.
Allah knows best.
Why Christians are obsessed with Muslim women covering their bodies? You have your own women whose bodies everyone can see, and Muslims don’t have a problem with that. So why do you have a problem with Muslim women choosing to cover themselves? Are you insane? Is all the nakedness you’ve already seen not enough for you?
The manner in which the Courts have consistently denied bail applications for an alleged offence that is clearly bailable, or imposed bail conditions that are practically impossible to meet on the case of Nasir El-Rufai, raises serious concerns about the administration of justice.
This was exhaustibly discussed by the directive of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) last week. Such actions create the impression that the judicial process is being used not to ensure justice, but to facilitate the continued detention of Mallam.
It is becoming difficult to ignore the political undertones surrounding Mallam's prolonged detention. The circumstances suggest a an already held notion of a deliberate effort to keep him out of the political space at a critical period leading up to the 2027 elections.
Detaining Mallam Nasir El-Rufai beyond the period required for legal proceedings is unlikely to alter Nigeria's political trajectory in 2027. Mallam has already paid his dues, and Nigerians will assess and judge the government of the day based on the realities they experience in their daily lives: economic conditions, security, social welfare, and the quality of governance.

Lol!! Anytime I see this, I laugh. You can go to a typical neighbourhood in Kano or Zaria and find men sitting in the entrance of their households (zaure) teaching students texts that were authored years ago. This zaure style of learning has, for generations, attracted students from neighbouring countries who travel specifically to study under these scholars. You will find teachers who have handwritten books on sciences, logic, grammar, and other subjects. Yet, someone can look these people in the eye and call them illiterate simply because they do not communicate in the language of his colonial master.
