Foo Fighters’ “Everlong” is the second single from their 1997 album The Colour And The Shape. Written by Dave Grohl, it’s a song about wanting a moment of connection to last, with lyrics that capture both longing and hope. Grohl wrote it during a period of personal upheaval, and it’s become one of the band’s most recognisable tracks. The Colour And The Shape marked a turning point for Foo Fighters, establishing them as more than just Grohl’s post-Nirvana project. “Everlong” is still a staple at their shows and remains their most streamed song.
Do you think “Everlong” is the band’s best track, or do you prefer something else?
