@SCentralized First order snow trooper design just doesn’t make any sense. At least the imperial one went and attempted to show some sort of insulation or severe weather equipment/mods. The first order one is just another take on stormtrooper armor with a cape
@retneysholocron Wasn’t George’s sequel trilogy literally just a more complicated and stretched version of all the Maul shit we’ve gotten from CW to shadow lord
@Raveshaw1711@coreyloses And then of course, you’re going to once again gloss over and ignore the fact that the core mission of the CIS was ultimately twisted by and hijacked by bad actors
@Raveshaw1711@coreyloses Rather than actually initiating a movement to try to counter center-periphery power disparities, your preferred alternative is to do nothing. You’re also ignoring the fact that the central government is the one that is actively allowing corporations to exploit the outer rim
@Raveshaw1711@coreyloses I really don’t think anyone gives a fuck about morality when your planet is literally dying and the central government is being stymied by bureaucrats and won’t do anything
@coreyloses@Raveshaw1711 Because it was hijacked by corporations and dooku realpolitiked it into financial backing for what would’ve otherwise been an extremely weak coalition? There were member states that had legitimate grievances against the republic about a lack of representation in central gov.
@Raveshaw1711@coreyloses If the CIS wasn’t run by space hitler’s goons, it would’ve been the better alternative for the galaxy, especially peripheral worlds
@SCentralized The timeline just doesn’t make sense. Isn’t the attack on starkiller base literally days after the destruction of the new republic core? So what, a giant fleet just starts taking planets, then their space station is nuked, then a couple hours/maybe a day later, their leader dies?
