PI & Professor @RMIT @RMITSciences. Researching novel ways to cure and block malaria transmission through Host-directed Therapy (HDT). Tweets by @mjay_shuaib
@DoerigLab is fully represented at #ASP2023 in Darwin from @RmitSciences with four oral presentations about our lovely research on HDT in Plasmodium. Catch up with Tayla tomorrow to give our group's last talk. Amazing atmosphere in Darwin and great meeting @AS_Para
Just a quick through back to my first international conference as a young scientist in the field of protein kinases in malaria and one of my life long dreams🥼 #PKPPV#malaria#plasmodium#kinaseproteins
The @DoerigLab is well represented in the Protein Kinase of Parasitic Protozoa V Conference at the @UCF 🇺🇸. 3 presentations and 1 prize award. Congratulations to Tayla and Finn for the fascinating presentation @RMIT@ResearchRMIT@RmitSciences
Congratulations to Tayla Williamson for winning the First Prize in the PhD. Student category in the recently concluded Protein Kinase of Parasitic Protozoa V Conference at the @UCF 🇺🇸! Her research on kinase inhibitors in Pf is truly groundbreaking @RMIT@ResearchRMIT#malaria
Congratulations to Finn for presenting groundbreaking research on the structural phylogeny of predicted kinase structures at @UCF in the #PKPPC5. This emerging field has huge potential to advance our understanding of parasitic protozoa & inform new therapies! @RMIT@ResearchRMIT
The @DoerigLab is delighted to arrive in Orlando for the Protein Kinases of Parasitic Protozoa Conference V at @UCF. This is an exciting time to present our research, learn more about the latest in the field & connect with other scientists @RMIT@ResearchRMIT#PKPPC5#malaria
Timely reminder: we’re still looking for #PhD students keen to expand knowledge in #systems#neuroscience and/or #brain#evodevo in tropical Brisbane 😎🏝️🏄♀️🇦🇺. Full scholarships available @UQ_News (international & local). Please RT & send good ones this way!🧬🦘🧠🔬🫵🏽🤓✈️
Treatment failure & resistance to ACTs require novel strategies to eliminate malaria. Host-directed therapies are rapidly advancing as a new method to combat this challenge. Check out this new review by Jack Adderley from @DoerigLab: https://t.co/RBL8fzeUOK @ResearchRMIT@RMIT
The @DoerigLab spent Tuesday's evening dining on homemade Swiss cheese fondue.
A super delicate recipe cooked by Chrisitan Doerig himself! A lovely evening to refresh.
Fondue was named the national dish of Switzerland in the 1930s. Interesting.

The latest findings in a decades long research collaboration could spell new hope for #malaria. Microbiologist Christian Doerig said the shocking spread of the disease inspired him to find a way to help eradicate it. https://t.co/mJ5M4piCG7
Can we flip our thinking on #drugresistance & #antibioticresistance - instead of targeting pathogens directly, target the human enzymes required for their survival?
New review on #hostdirectedtherapy in @CellRepMed from RMIT's Christian Doerig & team: https://t.co/icCt0OKsKj
#infect2021 Dr. Christian Doerig starting the session Drug Targets and Drug Development for Malaria with his talk "Host-directed therapy for infectious diseases: phospho-signalling as a
target"
Great immunology session at the @AS_Para#CIP2022 course with @DanielleStanis2, Paul Giacomin @AITHM_Research@jcu, Robyn Slattery @MonashCCS and Christian Doerig @ResearchRMIT. We never did find out what IL-182 does, but I think I've memorised the rest of the interleukins now.
