@M5PAVS@Gerty2000vlts@Glinner The true divide is between the corrupt controllers of gov'ts & international institutions and the regular, normal people who have to live with the consequences of their greed for control power and wealth
That is the divide. Its not race, religion, left/right, trans/no trans etc
@elizbyrne20@eric_nelligan The Gael schools are doing well.. And they're making a difference.. The knowledge of the language and even music / culture is improving..
The looney left want to label that as "racism"
Fckn weirdos๐คฏ
@Tobias_Smythe@eric_nelligan English Irish and maths as a basic 3 is a good thing.
Everyone needs basic maths. Everyone.
Everyone needs basic English
And Irish is part of the country's national identity. Not everything is about money and career.
Nobody's saying they have to go study irish 3rd level
@Tobias_Smythe@eric_nelligan Youre implying that an interest in Irish Language is now somehow a negative thing?
A sign of "nationalism"(meant in the sneering sense) And ultimately I know what you mean, "racism". Right?
I know you types love to play the "R" card whenever u don't like the direction of debate
@Tobias_Smythe@eric_nelligan Read the actual post I posted. The actual words of his post, and tell me if u disagree
For soneone with such a giant brain u seem to take the low brow options don't you?
I. E. Labelling, Generalisation,
Inability to comprehend nuance
You sure you're really that smart?๐คฃ
@Tobias_Smythe@eric_nelligan Ok.. Youre very smart and educated.
But you are wrong about the importance of maintaining a sense of national identity
Maybe because it's not a number you can crunch or sonething??
But you are wrong. Regardless of your impressive cv
@Tobias_Smythe@eric_nelligan Sorry ๐คท
If the cap fits I guess.
Acedemia is an unbelievably susceptible to mass groupthink (and heavily funded).
Not all of course.. But yes. The world of academia has lead us astray SO. MANY TIMES..๐ณ๐ช๐ช
@narindertweets Ppl from the immigrant community need to march with irish people to denounce BOTH the stabbing and the riots
Why won't politicians from ALL sides come out and organise a march like that?
Rather than take sides, try to unify
Why won't they?
thats a damn good question isn't it?
@eric_nelligan@Tobias_Smythe The depths to which looney left logic can plummet never ceases to amaze.. ๐ณ๐ซฃ
Ok. You can't see the value in national culture and identity. You want a McDonald's approach to nationality
Fair enough. Just don't expect people with functioning brains to agree with you
Be careful how you respond to events in North Belfast. It's reasonable to support protests that call for realistic number controls, enhanced vetting & integration measures for migrants. Not indiscriminate protests that tar all migrants with one brush.
Know before you protest.
@ger_cosgrove The Irish people as a whole do not appreciate the escaltory tactics and rhetoric.
Diplomacy and peaceful resolution is the only way. 99% of Irish people believe that.
End ALL wars. Now.
No excuses. Just fcking end them
@MCleaver@wexfordobrien@stellaomalley3@PaulTreyvaud Yes.. Pretty much.
Those who say "who is they?". "There's hardly a conspiracy to silence them all".. Etc..
We'll. Uhh. Yeah there is. How do i know?
We'll its beyond obvious at this stage, that's how
Groupthink is an incredibly powerful thing
@wexfordobrien@stellaomalley3@PaulTreyvaud They 100% are. There is a collective agreement to "not stoke the flames of racism and xenophobia"
On paper thats fine, but when it impedes journalists from reporting on the occurrence of incidents such as this, then CLEARLY there is a problem
@Wolfodonn1981@PrisonPlanet is there a further risk of similar crime from incomes from this specific nation? or was this truly a random one-off,??
Questions like that should be asked and answered
If a councillor is suppressing that debate then yes, they should be removed from office
Ireland? We didnโt even march when our government used billions of our money to save German bondholders. Weโre still paying for it. Weโre suckers masquerading as rebels and patriots.
@jeremycorbyn@Breentastic22 He should be let in for sure.
But maybe there's a "country of concern" list due to prevalence of crime from people coming from that country..??
If thats the case then, yes they should make an exception..
But its wrong to assume it's automatically a race issue
