Just Green (& a bit of Lib Dem) rabble-rousing. In the actual statements by each of these councils is a grudging admission they'll have to comply with the law.
It would be nice if they wanted to acknowledge women's rights too, but hey ho. The proof will be in the actual policy.
The visceral innate fear that women and girls feel, when they find a man in their safe space is something he will never experience.
We make our world even smaller, trying to avoid a repeat.
I know he doesn’t give a toss. From the undisguised contempt in the post, he possibly even gets a kick from knowing it.
No woman would ever deliberately inflict that trauma on another woman, and especially not on a little girl.
But it’s not completely normal, is it? A man walking into women’s toilets when he knows it’s not right, when he knows he’s not supposed to be there, and when he knows he’s not welcome — that’s not normal; it’s a misogynistic assertion, it’s male dominance, it’s a tantrum. You’re not a ghost, ‘India’; those women saw you. If you were a woman, you’d understand why they said nothing. Well done for showing that you really are a man — a really self-entitled man 👏🏻🙄
@SVPhillimore@shabanahfazal@andyburnham@bphillipsonMP when are you going to start protecting women and girls and their rights? How many more threats of violence against us are you prepared to accept? At a recent Women’s Conference we were not told of the venue until 2 days before for this reason
@SVPhillimore So making perfectly legal observations about safe sex spaces, making normal journalistic enquiries and making online jokes precipitates police enquiries but making actual violent threats does not. How do the police justify this?
