@robinlundberg I agree with CC only because the permiter offense just isn’t working. AB is too far outside the paint and Billings seems lost half the time. To make matter worse, it seemed like the Sky were running a similar offense last night but their spacing was so much better.

@JakeIggy @Marino12Marino IMO Story is an aging IF with 2 yrs left who got hot last year. Cora kept him at SS but they shouldn’t have counted on 25 HRs again or his def improving. Should’ve moved him to 2B/3B with any offense a bonus not a need. Roman should’ve been eased into the line-up & not led off.

That their models depended so much on Story & Roman only shows the roster was so poor & season already doomed when they were gaslighting fans in ST. Also, staff was strong enough that Crochet on IL wasn’t huge.

The Sox have a ton of holes both tangible (as other MLB teams stated in the Globe) and intangible (front office & clubhouse leadership). Plus, the injuries never impacted this season as their record was worse prior.

@Jared_Carrabis A team built with a bunch of utility players just cannot constantly come back from 2 runs down in games.
If he truly thinks that the players are underperforming, then I wish someone would just ask Breslow about his projections and what ideal scenarios the formula is based on.
