The Hunt for Gollum plot details have been revealed by @theoneringnet

Set between Bilbo’s disappearance and the Fellowship’s formation, the film follows Gollum after losing the Ring, with flashbacks to his life as Sméagol before he lost himself to the One Ring. Sméagol’s story is intercut with Gandalf, who sends Aragorn (Strider) to hunt Gollum before Sauron learns the truth.

Directed by Andy Serkis, produced by Peter Jackson, filming to begin in NZ this year.
