built a couple friends of mine systems with nothing but shit off marketplace and new CPU coolers from Amazon for $15 a piece.

both have GTX 1660ti’s, 16GB of ram and PSU headroom for upgrades. one has a 1600x CPU, other is a i5-9400

@blemonpielover most of the issues people run into w/ AMD cards are tied to just not updating drivers and stuff. i’ve used a 6950xt for years now and it’s been nothing but great

The other is a car they’ve been saying is “coming soon” for 8 years and is built off of constantly moving goalposts that will never be reached.

it has nothing to do with that. with an EV there’s very little stimuli to let your body know you’re moving. seeing movement without feeling like you are is one of the biggest sources of motion sickness.

@OnyxCrimsonBlur I actually prefer it. Rechargeable packs are easily purchasable for them, which gives them the same functionality. That also means the battery isn’t sealed inside the controller, so if the battery needs replacement after a while, it’s easier to replace

@firefoxsimpp well it doesn’t look the same as the endless sea of crossovers these days but that doesn’t mean it looks good. it’s overly minimalist and the entire back end of the car looks like a mistake.
