The 10th Judicial Circuit Officer-Involved Deadly Incident Task Force is investigating an officer-involved shooting on Wabash Ave and George Jenkins Blvd in Lakeland.

No officers or deputies were injured. The armed suspect, Larry Renaldo Riles (46) is deceased.

A PCSO deputy conducted a traffic stop late one night in the Haven of Winter on a man operating a bicycle without lights.

The man didn’t have ID on him, so he said his name was Tony and gave a date of birth.

The deputy ran the information, and nothing came back.

Tony gave a different date of birth, and still nothing.

Deputies utilized more of their resources and eventually determined that the man’s name was actually Surujpaul, not Tony.

That mistake probably happens all the time. Surujpaul, Tony… it’s crazy how similar they sound.

The deputies then discovered that Surujpaul had an outstanding warrant for Possessing Alligators without Authority.

Not meth possession. Alligator possession. Plural. As in two of them.

We were curious and had to check this one out. Records show that Florida Fish & Wildlife officers charged him specifically for keeping two alligators in his home.

Makes one wonder if Surujpaul sits on a couch watching the Hallmark Channel while scratching the bellies of the gators who are sprawled over his lap.

One of the deputies said that once the suspect’s identity and warrant were confirmed, Surujpaul became uncooperative and said that he was working for the feds.

Surujpaul was arrested on his warrant and taken to Grady Judd’s Bed & Breakfast.

He was additionally charged with Resisting without Violence and two counts of Providing False ID to Law Enforcement.

#ArrestedByThePolkCountySheriffsOffice - 33-year-old Casey Lee Breaker from Lakeland.

We're not sure why a registered sex offender would leave Kentucky to live in Polk County, Florida and then choose to violate the rules of his probation. Casey Lee picked a county where thorough and frequent checks are done on sex offenders, and here we are.

On Wednesday, July 29th, at around 6:30 pm, a PCSO deputy and an officer from the Florida Department of Corrections Probation & Parole paid a visit to Casey Lee on Everett Street in Lakeland.

Casey Lee is on felony parole from Kentucky for sexual battery on a victim 12-17, and his parole states that he can have no internet access.

During the visit, it was discovered that Casey Lee not only had internet access, he also had a YouTube account, the Discord app, and an unregistered email address.

Casey Lee was arrested for violation of his parole and he was taken to the Sheriff's Processing Center.

According to the deputy, Casey Lee was previously sentenced to Kentucky State prison for 11 years, and was released on parole in 2022. He transferred his parole to Florida in February, 2026.
