@DylanJonesGQ I enjoyed your 100 Best Jazz albums (references to Tarkovsky & Beckett!). But hell man, the online article says "MONKEY Jungle"!! Egregious typo!
@russiabledotcom We're planning a visit to Russia from USA in Sept. Search engines list ILS as current Russian Visa Center in San Francisco, but you said VFS is the right one. Is that correct? Thank you!
@josh_levin I'm a non-sports guy who enjoys HU&L, and was listening to the latest podcast, where you used the word "kludge". It's pronounced "klooj".
@hughmce Hiya. We met at Dan's place in Sarangkot and bumped into each other at KGH. I want to be sure I catch the radio piece you're producing. DM me to trade emails.
@mikiebarb on Wednesday you clarified how to pronounce the president of Turkey's name; on Tuesday your colleague pronounced "Rohingya" with both hard and soft "g". What's the correct pronunciation?
@Egangoonsquad re-"reading" Manhattan Beach, this time on Audible: still great, but different. Found another nit: "hove" on p115, "heaved" 7 other places. What's the difference?
@andybowers What's up with the Slate Daily Feed on iTunes? Every episode I delete from the past month or so reappears upon refresh. This doesn't happen w any other podcast. Is it just me?
@Egangoonsquad I'm really enjoying MB. I just looked up "gobsmacked"(p189), which sounds like WWII or earlier. But the Kindle Oxford Dictionary says it originated in the 1980s (other sources place it back to 1956).
