Recently, I noticed that many LARPs opened million-dollar positions in $BTC and $ETH using demo accounts.

They usually use Bybit’s demo account because it gives them a $1M demo balance.

Also, nowadays, it’s very easy to edit images using CapCut or InShot, or simply generate them with AI.

All these poor LARPs do is edit out the “demo” part or regenerate the image using ChatGPT or Grok.

Examples are @cryptolaanie and @Mattertrades.

The reality is, most of them don’t even have $100 in their account. Their main goal is to farm engagement, gain followers, grow their accounts to 50K+ followers, then promise a meme coin that will “retire” you. Eventually, they launch the coin, rug-pull it, and scam their followers. This is their playbook.

But what concerns me is that many big names, or I would say the top crypto traders like @GordonGekko, @ObitoCrypto, @TedPillows, and many more, just engage with them without realizing or researching whether it’s fake or real, resulting in these LARP posts getting more reach.

Always be careful about these LARPs. I know 80% of CT influencers personally, and they all trade demo.

Before trusting anyone, always ask them to show trades and wallet balance in a screen recording scrolling through all pages of the exchange.
