@misphit_girl The real question, why don't data centers build hydro electric dams/centers, using the cold water the flows through from the bottom of the holding pond, warm it slightly and release it on the top of the river on the other side solving the big issue with dams at the same time.
@thecaitdiaries If I was a betting man, I'd say all signs point to your hot water heater. Minerals normally in water, build up in them like crazy and if not maintained it can cause all sorts of issues like this. If it's the case the water as gross as it is is most likely safe. I hope this helps.
@thecaitdiaries My first guess would be calcium or another mineral deposit in what I would assume is old pipes has started to break down. Is this from the hot or cold water side? If it's from the hot the water heater needs to be cleaned or replaced to stop this, save on power too.
