A British writer penned the best description of Donald Trump I’ve ever read:
“Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?”
A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.
Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.
Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers. And scarily, he doesn’t just talk in crude, witless insults – he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness.
There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance or depth. It’s all surface. Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don’t. We see it as having no inner world, no soul. And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He’s not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He’s more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege.
And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully. That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead. There are unspoken rules to this stuff – the Queensberry rules of basic decency – and he breaks them all. He punches downwards – which a gentleman should, would, could never do – and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless – and he kicks them when they are down.
So the fact that a significant minority – perhaps a third – of Americans look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think ‘Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy’ is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that:
• Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, and mostly are.
• You don’t need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man.
This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss. After all, it’s impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of shit. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum. God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid. He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W look smart. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws – he would make a Trump.
And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish: ‘My God… what… have… I… created?' If being a twat was a TV show, Trump would be the boxed set.”

Chris Christie:
“I think for Republican voters, the biggest thing they have to look at now is that we’re gonna have a guy running for president who, from March 4 probably for the next four-to-six weeks, will be every day in a courtroom in Washington, D.C…
This is disastrous for the Republican Party. And this is why I’ve been saying…that given his personal conduct, given the stuff that he did himself, that he simply can’t be our nominee.”
BREAKING: Donald Trump is hit with more devastating news as January 6 Committee member Adam Schiff becomes the highest profile member of Congress to call for insurrectionist Trump to be banned from running for office under the 14th Amendment.
But it gets way WORSE for Trump…
In front of millions of live MSNBC viewers, Schiff declared that it’s “very clear” that Trump “engaged in acts of insurrection and rebellion against America’s government and gave aid and comfort to those who do” — so he MUST be “disqualified from the ballot because he fits the 14th Amendment’s ban on traitors and insurrectionists ‘to a ‘t.”
Congressman Schiff continued, encouraging Democrats to take this all the way up to the Supreme Court because even prominent conservative constitutional scholars believe that this is a “legitimate issue” — and that traitor Trump must be banned from running.
This new endorsement from Congressman Schiff is the latest sign that the will to ban Trump from running for office under the 14th Amendment is gaining steam. The damn appears to be breaking — and Trump worst nightmare just might be coming true.

Trickle-down economics meant slashing public investment in technologies that helped America lead the world in innovation.
We used to invest 2 percent of our entire gross domestic product in research and development.
Now it’s 0.7.
Under Bidenomics, we’re turning that around.
BREAKING: In a devastating rant on national television, MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace declares that today’s traitorous Republican Party “can no longer lay any claim to being the party that stands with the U.S. Military.”
It all started when Trumper Senator Tommy Tuberville announced that he would single-handedly block a whopping 184 military promotions just to spite President Biden. Today, for the first time in 164 years, the U.S. Marine Corps of as left without a leader.
But it gets even worse…
Nicole Wallace declared today, “Here is where it gets alarming: Over the next two months, the staff of the Army, Navy, Air Force, along with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs will see their terms come to the same end. It is a Republican-made problem that figures to get much, much worse. But today marked the fall of the first domino."
Wallace blasted Tuberville, declaring that his “hissy fit” is endangering our national security.
She then set her sights on the entire Republican Party, declaring that, The reality is that today's Republican Party, whose front-runner has been indicted for leaving classified documents around his party like candy in a candy dish, can no longer lay any claim to being the party that stands with the U.S. military. Remember the wisdom of Maya Angelou: ‘When someone tells you who they are over and over and over again, believe them.’”

Time for my state to get on board. Enter the new century. Coal is gone, jobs are low wage & companies choose elsewhere. Perhaps legalize & use farmland to generate a cash crop that people need & want. Better than opiods. Just saying... https://t.co/BQMt0Cfa6C
Trump’s former attorney sounds the alarm, demands that the Justice Department immediately investigate whether Donald Trump and Jared Kushner sold Saudi Arabia any of the military secrets in the top secret documents that Trump stole and stashed.
Michael Cohen declared, “The Justice Department should be, if they're not already, looking at the unholy relationships that exist between Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, and Jared Kushner. I mean, this whole two plus billion dollars to an unqualified hedge funder makes no sense to me, and in light of the information that came out, that there was military information on Iran, and we all know what that Saudi Arabia has had Iranian aggression on their mind for a long time -- who knows what was shown to them? Who knows what was discussed? Who knows what was sold? None of us."
Cohen continued, “I do believe that our law enforcement, because we have the greatest law enforcement in the world, they can find anything, and I do believe they will find a lot of information that goes on outside of Trump, even though I do believe he probably had his hands in it, that he certainly knows about it, and chances are, if he had his hand in it and he knew about it, he profited it from it.”
This should strike fear in the heart of every American who gives a damn about our struggling democracy.

Holy shit. Trump is accused of not just storing and hiding classified documents, but also SHOWING them to guests at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey:
🚨🚨🚨MAJOR BREAKING: Donald Trump is facing five years in prison and a felony because of a law HE SIGNED in attempt to punish Hillary Clinton in 2018.
Oh this is GOOD!
The law HE SIGNED upgrades the crime of wrongly moving classified material from a misdemeanor to a felony.
Trump signed the bill after spending the 2016 presidential campaign accusing Hillary Clinton of improperly handling classified information.
"Trump certainly has legal exposure to Section 1924 given it was classified documents from his spaces in the White House that were removed to Mar-Lago," said attorney Bradley P. Moss.
This evening, Trump posted on Truth Social that he would be indicted.
Trump said he must report to a Miami courthouse this Tuesday.
What are your thoughts? Does he deserve it?
🚨TRUMP INDICTMENT UPDATE🚨: The Guardian just reported that Donald Trump was charged with a whopping SEVEN federal felonies, including violating the Espionage Act, willful retention of national defense information, obstruction of justice, conspiracy, false statements and concealment under title 18 of the US criminal code.
This means that Trump is facing TWO DECADES in prison — and surely the end of his 2024 presidential campaign.

BREAKING: Trump insider drops bombshell, reveals that Ivanka Trump is desperately trying to “rebrand” herself as a Kushner because everyone “loathes” her father Donald — which has already caused her to lose countless “brand deals and friends.”
But it gets even worse for Trump…
The insider continues, revealing that Ivanka is “attempting to socially reposition” herself as a Kushner because Kushner “has a more stable brand than Trump” — which has forced Ivanka to “pívot away from her father to save her own struggling brand.
The insider finished, “She’s now a Kushner, and she's not 100% with both feet in the Trump orbit. Jared has his own world and his own orbit — and we all know about his father's own issues, but it's a lot more stable brand, a lot less visible brand. They've got a lot going on over in the Kushner clan.”
We can’t let Ivanka get away with this shameless “rebrand” after she spent four years helping her dad grift a fortune from the Oval Office.

BREAKING: Donald Trump is publicly humiliated as an inside source reveals that the renowned Penn Club in NYC — the favored social club of Wharton business grads — has hidden their "controversial" portrait of Donald Trump behind a couch in the boardroom.
The club chose to "hide" the picture because some of the members absolutely loath the disgraced former president. It now resides "low on the wall, basically behind a piece of furniture."
The decision to obscure the portrait is particularly embarrassing because "Trump was a major funder" of the club and "legend goes he negotiated the purchase of the building" in addition to giving a "big donation too."
Given what we know about Donald Trump's infamously fragile ego, this is exactly the kind of thing that is sure to get under his skin and drive him into a frothing frenzy.
Retweet if you think that they should burn the portrait!
