@GbengaWemimo E get level of emotional intelligence wey person suppose get to know when transparency don become over-sharing. No be every low moment of your spouse suppose become public content.
"We did what we had to do as a family" preserves dignity. "My husband became my staff" doesn't.
@DarkSpace100@Bams_Jnr This is how una dey show how miserable your life is. By attacking people wey dey their own jeje. I bet you don't have any reasonable friends in your life. Always the lonely sad folks..
@Pahrees@felixten_10 You guys are a sad lot hiding behind your phones and saying hateful things to people who no do you bad.. I'm sure your life is miserable already. No happy person wey God bless go dey think like this..
We have to talk about the Nigerian Justice system and social welfare system one of these days.
The number of cases of divorced women who got joint custody of the children they had with their husbands but have refused to obey court instructions or allow the fathers of their children any realistic access to the children is becoming concerning.
In some cases, the mothers outrightly leave the children to rot without any regard for the children's future, while collecting the required upkeep and other allowances as stipulated by the court from their ex-husbands and pocketing them for their own personal use.
Essentially turning the children into meal tickets, with which they are exploiting their ex-husbands and punishing them simultaneously.
A senior police officer whose ex-wife was a lawyer said she has denied him access to the children for three years to the extent that the last time they were in court, his four-year-old daughter did not recognise him while his six-year-old boy only recognised him after he called his name and extended his arms to him for a hug.
The women in these cases are educated; one is a journalist, the second is a lawyer, the third is a banker, and the fourth works with an NGO.
The justice system is so slow that there can be no expedited hearing to address several issues that are coming up in the course of raising the children.
The ex-wife and mother of the children basically leaves the children to raise themselves without any form of adult supervision, despite the court ruling explicitly stating that this constitutes child abuse.
It is a bit late tonight to share screenshots of several chats with several men complaining about the flagrant abuse of the court verdict by their ex-wives and the neglect of the children produced by the marriage as a result of this.
One ex-wife actually doesn't know anything about the academic progress of the children with her. The children are starting exams in a few days, and she is taking the children out of school to attend a party.
I am leaving this here and may attach several screenshots on Monday to bring this to people's attention.
Abroad, the social services department would have been following up on the children's welfare to keep the negligent mothers on their toes, but here in Nigeria, the destinies of the children are left at the mercy of a mother who inherently hates her own children and only keeps them as a means of milking their father.
Reporting to the police does not help, as officers themselves tell tales of how helpless they are in the face of the same injustice.
One police officer said, "It is best to just leave it for God and start another family. Consider those children as wasted efforts, or be prayerful because the court is powerless to do anything about these issues.
To be continued...
