@alexanderchee Although not centered around monsters, there monsters of sorts in the sewers below Tokyo in Murakami's Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World. It was the first Murakami I read and still my favorite.

@TheBookMaven Just started LIFE IS A RECORD by Jon Bonham Fox. He reached out to me to say he loved one of my books (THE MUSIC BOOK) so I thought check out his book. Just finished IF CATS DISAPPEARED FROM THE WORLD. Decent but was hoping for more from it.
