このたび、A’ Design Award が運営する国際的なデザイナー評価機関「DAC – Design Classifications」において、2026年度 “World's 14th Best Designer（世界14位）” に選定いただきました。

審査対象は、世界各国の受賞歴と実績を持つデザイナーであり、本選定は私個人にとっても、静かに歩み続けて来た年月への一つの節目として、深く受け止めております。

創作は栄誉のために行うものではありませんが、こうして第三者機関によって客観的に評価いただいたことは、これまで陰ながら支えてくださった方々のお力あってのことです。心より御礼申し上げます。

今回の選定に際し、公式証書およびインフォグラフィックが DAC より提供されております。

Description:
There exists a mind that can survey the modes of this concept of time, a body—the flesh—that lives within a finite stream of time, and a soul that governs the interaction between the two. Even if one could foresee their own destiny, resistance is meaningless when faced with the unstoppable flow of a great river. For humans, fully assimilating with the soul and steering the rudder of fate in advance is generally forbidden. Such actions come with a price, requiring an appropriate offering in accordance with the laws of the universe.

However, every person is born with the promise of leading this world to happiness and, above all, attaining their own happiness. At times, it may be hard to believe this. There may be moments when we resent the gods. Yet, the sun continues to shine upon this planet as always, the moon quietly illuminates the darkness of night, and this earth holds riches beyond measure.

No matter what fate we follow, the path we walk is illuminated everywhere, and the happiness or even the suffering we experience along the way is a joy to the soul. Under a great grace, all beings continue to receive the blessings of the gods.

この作品は、ギリシア神話に描かれた運命の三女神をモチーフに制作されました。過去、現在、未来という人間が創り出した概念は幻であり、時間の流れは地続きではなく、断片的なものに過ぎません。

時間という概念の様態を俯瞰し得る精神、有限の時間の流れを生きる肉体、そしてその両者の相互作用を管理する魂が存在します。たとえ自らの辿る運命を予期していたとしても、抗いようのない大きな河の流れの前では、抵抗は意味をなしません。魂と完全に同化し、あらかじめ運命の舵を切ることは、通常、人の身には許されないことなのです。その行為には代償が伴い、宇宙の法則に従って相応の供物を捧げることになるでしょう。

しかし、全ての人々は、この世界を幸福へ導くこと、そして何より自分自身が幸福になることを約束して生まれてきました。時にはそれが信じられないかもしれません。神を恨むこともあるでしょう。それでもこの星にはいつも変わらず太陽の光が降り注ぎ、夜の暗がりは月が静かに照らし、この大地には有り余る富があります。

どのような運命を辿ろうとも、私たちの進む道はあまねく照らされ、その道のりで感じた幸福、あるいは苦悩でさえも、魂にとっては喜びなのです。すべての存在は大いなる恩恵のもと、神々の祝福を受け続けています。

This artwork embodies the idea that the world we perceive as ‘reality’ is not a real image but a virtual one, and that mystery and beauty lie hidden precisely at the boundary between reality and illusion. The ancient philosopher Plato described humans as prisoners confined in a cave, where the sunlight streaming in casts the shadows of the world of Ideas onto the wall, and they mistake these shadows for reality. Yet what truly matters is not the truth itself, but the hope people hold and their joy in living—and even their sorrow and their foolishness, all of which God graciously embraces, enveloping everyone equally with love.

私達の目に映る「現実」と思われる世界は、実像ではなく虚像であり、その境目にこそ神秘や美が潜むという思想がこの作品に込められています。過去の哲学者プラトンは、人間は洞窟の中に閉じ込められた囚人であり、洞窟に差し込む太陽の光がイデアの世界の影を壁に映し出し、それを現実と錯覚していると述べています。しかし大切なのは真実ではなく、人々が持つ希望であり、生きる喜びであり、そして悲しみや愚かさでさえも、神は愛をもって平等に人々を包み込んでくださっています。

A Beautiful Horizon has drawn to a close, and I write now with a full and grateful heart.

To everyone who came to stand before these works, within the halls of the European Museum of Modern Art — thank you. Your presence gave this exhibition its breath and its meaning.

To RFA Projects, who held this vast and irreplaceable gathering together with such grace and care — my deepest gratitude. None of its beauty would have come to be without you.

To have taken part from Japan, among such extraordinary artists drawn from across the world, is something I will carry with quiet and lasting pride. I receive it with humility, and with all my heart, I give thanks.

Description:
Death is not merely an act of creation but also a reunion with God and a fleeting mystery. When the soul, carrying its memories, returns to the primordial source of life, it merges with the countless memories of myriad beings, reborn as a single droplet. In that moment, the former self ceases to exist, becoming a fragment of someone else’s soul, nameless and unknown. Thousands, tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds of millions of years later, when all cycles of reincarnation have concluded, we shall all be equally welcomed into a great light—a realm where loneliness and suffering do not exist. I still firmly believe that by quietly keeping our gaze fixed ahead and steadfastly moving forward, even through hardship, we will eventually reach eternal nirvana.

死は創造であり、神との再会であり、瞬く間の神秘です。魂が記憶と共に命の原泉へ還った時、様々な存在の数多の記憶と混ざり合い、再び一滴の雫として生を受けるのです。その時、かつての人格は既になく、名も知らぬ誰かの魂の欠片となるでしょう。何千年、何万年、何億年後か、全ての輪廻転生を終えたら、皆等しく大いなる光の元へ迎えられます。そこにはきっと孤独もなければ苦悩もありません。困難な時もただ黙々と前だけを見据え歩みを進めていれば、いつか悠遠の涅槃に至ることができると、私はまだ信じています。

The best way to unlock a person’s potential is through “grounding.” When left unchecked, human consciousness tends to quickly jump to the past or the future. However, by simply focusing on the “now,” this very moment, we can maximize our true abilities. Even the concept of time itself—past and future—is an illusion; ultimately, there is only the “now,” this present moment. By concentrating all our attention here, we free ourselves from the cage of the egoic mind that brainwashes us with distracting thoughts. The frequently used expression “bringing down God” may suggest a method of returning to one’s true self. This work embodies the idea that people are constantly receiving blessings not only from the heavens but also from the earth, and that it is important to be grateful for both.

人の潜在能力を開放する最善の方法は「グラウンディング」です。人の意識は放って置くとすぐに過去や未来へ飛びがちですが、「今」この時に意識を向けるだけで、本来の力を最大限に発揮できます。過去や未来など、時間の概念すら幻想であり、究極的には「今」この時しかありません。そこに全神経を集中することで、自らを雑念で洗脳する精神というエゴの檻から解き放つのです。よく用いられる「神を降ろす」という表現は、本来の自分に立ち帰るという一つの方式を示唆しているのかもしれません。人は天だけでなく大地の恩恵も常に受けており、その両方へ感謝することが大事であるという思いがこの作品に込められています。

This artwork was created as an attempt to embody the depths of the human psyche within society. Within the eyes of every person resides a soul capable of perceiving and discerning their own and others’ past and present lives. Nothing is truly “known”; rather, everything is “remembered.”

Encounters between people occur through either favorable or adverse karmic ties. Even if someone is a good match in this life, the quality of the relationship can still change depending on timing. Just as two friends who appear close are constantly, beneath their awareness, engaged in a tug-of-war to adjust their destinies, relationships are shaped by time and circumstances, so that each soul moves toward a path of richer learning.

The multitude of eyes depicted in this artwork may evoke fear in some or inspire feelings of compassion in others. Regardless of the impression, the eyes are mirrors of the soul; and for the grand purpose of the soul’s growth, the present exists through God’s love and providence.

この作品は社会に於ける人間の深層心理の具現化を試み制作されました。全ての人々の瞳には魂が宿っており、自身を含むあらゆる人々の今生や過去生を知覚し、見抜く力が備わっています。全ての物事は知るのではなく「思い出す」のです。

人同士の出逢いには順縁と逆縁があり、対象となる相手が今生に於いて良縁であろうと、そのタイミングによって関係性は変化するでしょう。一見仲の良い友人同士でも、無意識下では運命の調整のため常に駆け引きが行われており、お互いの魂がより学びの多い道筋へ向かうよう、時と状況により関係性が構築されます。

作品に表現されている幾つもの瞳は、人々に恐怖を与えることもあれば、慈愛の心を感じさせることもあるでしょう。どのような印象に映ったとしても、瞳は魂の鏡であり、全ては魂の成長という大目的のため、神の愛と図らいにより今が在るのです。

地平線とは一本の線ではなく、ひとつの境（さかい）です。見えるものが感じるものへと移り変わる、その出会いの場所。『A Beautiful Horizon』は、その縁（へり）に立つ 24 名の作家を集めた展覧会であり、このたび展覧会カタログがオンラインで公開されました。

Description:
The saying, “Until the age of seven, children are in God’s keeping,” truly captures my childhood, when God was the one I spoke with. Embarrassingly, even as an adult, not much has changed. God is love, encompassing all, regardless of good or evil, beauty or ugliness. Love is energy, and energy can be quantified. Numbers, with their precision, are art. Therefore, God is scattered everywhere as a physical presence.

To live in this material world, we must continue the game within an expedient reality, accepting the whereabouts of the soul as an unspoken understanding. Yet, God dwells within everyone; we are all equally God’s eyes and ears, each a portion divided from the divine. There is neither hierarchy nor superiority among people; each of us is a valuable being, complete in oneself. No matter how distorted the reality around you may seem, or how lonely and difficult the present may be, everyone was born blessed.

七歳までは神のうちという言葉の通り、幼少期の話し相手は神様でした。恥ずかしながら大人になってからもさして変わりありません。神は善悪美醜を問わず全てを内包する愛です。愛とはエネルギーです。エネルギーは数量化できます。数はその正確さに於いて芸術です。つまり神は物質的な存在として至る処に点在します。

この物質世界で生活するには、魂の在り処については暗黙の了解とし、便宜上の現実でゲームを続けなければなりません。しかし皆のうちに神は内在しており、皆等しく神の目であり耳です。神から分かたれた存在です。人の間に上下も優劣もなく、各々が一つで価値のある存在です。もし周りの現実が歪んで見えたり、今がどんなに孤独で辛くあったとしても、誰もが祝福されて生まれて来たのです。
