this prolonged silence has gone on far too long & it’s deeply unsettling
referring to a hate symbol as a "vintage item" twice feels incredibly tone deaf, especially when the statement simultaneously acknowledges its historical significance and sensitivity. along with this, mark, you cannot hide behind "the artist" when you are the OWNER, you are a 26 year old man with a business, you are no longer a teenager under a record label. so if you're going to release a statement, it should be from you, yourself - especially considering you're the face of this all - and not under the disguise of a HR team which have to verify things through you anyway?
i just don’t understand the general recklessness and choice for silence when that is the last thing you should be doing?
The lack of personal statement in a time where you finally have the freedom to speak, establish the statements you could never do in your old position and company and the first thing you do in the worst case scenario of your life is to personally stay silent?!
ignorance (which is still fucking pathetic btw do some research), his silence tells me that he’s okay with people thinking he’s a racist/he probably thinks this will all blow over. take some accountability for your actions and address the hurt and disappointment you caused
it’s so disappointing and strange to me that mark has the full ability to address this personally, whether it’s in an ig post on his acc or a livestream or whatever… yet he hasn’t
like you worked so hard the past decade and you finally have freedom as a solo artist and this is what you do with it? it’s baffling to me. it’s beyond giving the benefit of the doubt bc even if the shirt doesn’t reflect his beliefs and it was worn purely out of+
Being attracted to multiple genders across the spectrum is inherently queer as it goes against the heteronorm, monosexism, & the gender binary.
Biphobia is real & bisexuals are oppressed for being bi in a way that isn't just homophobia.
