I should mention, when I say "games" I'm not strictly referring to video games. Tabletop games themselves have become increasingly complex recently. I've seen more people willing to play the entry-level Eurogame Catan than the monotonous, capitalism parody Monopoly.

I believe games, especially esports, are paving the way for us to grow more knowledgeable in metagames. Particularly those that shape our society as a whole.

Everyone is booping their computers until they get the right result. Some people just know about more elements they can remix into their booping cacophony to make something work.

I hate that. I hate it when someone puts themselves down because they think they're "not as smart, creative, etc." Nobody is smarter than anybody else by a large margin.
