We found the sample were significantly more likely to select the properties with some of these features and were more likely to be wiling to pay more for them as well. Would be exciting to see someone else pick up these threads and conduct a much bigger study.

It's a small exploratory study which used a stated choice experiment which asked people aged 50+ and looking to move to make a series of choices between two hypothetical properties, some of which included accessibility and adaptability attributes.

Usability testing is 1 way of doing user research.

It works best as part of a range of methods including user interviews, user observation, process observation, desktop research + more.
