For more than two decades, hundreds of climbers near the summit of Mount Everest have passed by "Green Boots," a fallen mountaineer who perished there in 1996.
To this day, climbers use the body of Green Boots as a landmark to know they're near the top.
Even though authorities still aren't even positive who Green Boots was, his body is still one of the many serving as a bizarre guidepost on the path toward Earth's tallest and most treacherous peak.
