@timbocop The student writes something which is evaluated by an AI and feedback is emailed to another student who evaluates the initial submission and feedback and provides commentary back to the first student

@phillipdawson @mart_compton If the only evidence is a number or highlighted section of text from a detector, hopefully with the range of evidence that the detectors aren't reliable?

@CCguerilla @gamerlearner @phillipdawson Agreed, but without these tools, people still make accusations of misconduct and have costly investigations. I assume availability of tools to indicate misconduct leads to an increase in investigations but I don't have the data.

@timbocop I think this can help design, but I'd be careful with fixed hiding student decision to turn up or lose opportunity (and often marks) and flex decisions being impacted by student contexts, some students may have very limited time and place options => little flexibility

@EnglishOER Depends on what you are assessing. If they used GPT-4 to revise the grammar and grammar is an assessed part of the task then you don't have legitimate evidence of the students ability. If grammar isn't assessed then the use of GPT-4 probably has no impact on legitimacy.

@MaryJacobTEL1 @timbocop @DrPaulKleiman Have you tried reverse image searching the AI-generated images to see if you get anything close? This won't cover everything but should give good hints.
