Let’s goo them boys flying! Athletes and coaches, this shows how important it is to RACE! Best stimulus you can get is racing. Hard to get right sometimes but when you do you get awesome results!!
Nearly 1.2M athletes compete in high school track & field each year and only 3.5% of them make it to state.
At-large bids, championship factors, wildcards and more (oh my!).
The Complete Guide to Qualifying for State in Every State 👇
Reminder: DI, DII, DIII, JUCO, and NAIA are levels of competition, not levels of worth. The best thing we can do is stop judging athletes by where they play and start appreciating them for who they are. Character, work ethic, resilience, and the way they treat others will always matter more than the level they compete at.
Sports are just one chapter of their story, not their entire identity!
You can't take the trophy with you.
But the person you became chasing it?
That's yours forever.
"Banners collect in gyms and rings collect dust, but who you become and who you impact in these 4 years you get to keep forever."

Folks like to point out that North Carolina went 20 years between top-5 NBA Draft picks.
During that “drought”, the Tar Heels won 2 national titles and reached 5 Final Fours.
One of the biggest mistakes sports parents make:
Watching everyone else’s journey instead of their own.
Who’s ranked higher.
Who scored more.
Who got invited.
Who got posted.
Meanwhile, the only thing that really matters is whether your child is improving‼️‼️
The Coach’s Spouse You Don’t See.
Late nights.
Missed dinners.
Emotional seasons.
They don’t get the wins.
They feel the losses.
Every great coach has someone sacrificing with them.
We don’t talk about that enough.
Don’t think for one minute that team sports is only about the sport. Athletes gain confidence, work ethic, discipline, lifelong relationships. Sports teaches kids to find their voice, to stand on their own. Learning & playing the sport is great, but ultimately that’s secondary.
If you go to class & you do average work you get a C. that’s why it’s called average.
If you want a B you have to do more work.
If you want an A you have to do even more work.
You have to give up stuff. you have to sacrifice.
CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES BOUND
Carolina holds off West Virginia 12-7 to advance the national championship series.
The Tar Heels await their opponent, with Oklahoma (2-0) facing Georgia (2-1) squaring off tonight at 7 p.m.
The biggest lie in achievement: hit the goal, and your life changes.
It doesn't. Ask anyone who finally won the thing they spent a decade chasing.
What changes your life is who you become going after it.
The win is just the by-product.
