it’s easy to love the ones you choose in life. but to consistently love those who repeatedly stab you in the back? that’s hard. biblical love isn’t convenient, cute, or comfortable. it’s loving when it hurts, when it doesn’t make sense. that’s loving like Christ calls us to.
Sometimes dying to your flesh isn’t just temptation…it’s dying to your comfort zone to submit to the vision He has for your life and greater plan for humanity.
no matter what they said about you, labeled you, or called you: Jesus thought you were worth dying for. and that’s a love that no one can ever take from you.
God,
Thank you for loving me without limits. You have continuously shown how deep your love for me runs. You are ever so present, always there for me. Thank you for always being what surrounds, lives, & pours out of me. May I always stay near to You in every way, in all ways.
Reading books is so profound because it denies you the ability to speak when confronted with an idea. You must listen. It isn't a conversation. Sometimes it shouldn't be a conversation. Sometimes we should just listen. Just listen.
Jesus is tender without being weak, strong without being coarse, lowly without being servile. He has conviction without intolerance, enthusiasm without fanaticism, holiness without Pharisaism, passion without prejudice. This man alone never made a false step.
