So it turns out that I can update my MacBook Pro M1, released in 2021, to macOS 27.
But I cannot update my Apple Watch Ultra, released in 2022, to watchOS 27, because it's only supported on Ultra 2 or higher...
Bummer π
Not sure what's worse: having tried Fable and mourning its loss, or never even having had the chance to try it.
At least I was able to finally resume my GitHub Copilot subscription today, as they're gradually rolling it out again. Back at it!
@kettanaito Yeah, I'd also add more if I could. Like, God of War, Resident Evil, and some of them racing games. Also Hogwarts Legacy and Spider-Man are great open worlds.
Figured this out with Claude Code and Chrome DevTools MCP. It inspected the computed styles and fixed the issue with Tailwind β all in one flow. One of my most favorite MCPs. But I still went with a simpler solution: passing isBlurred=false to the HeroUI's Navbar.
TIL: backdrop-filter creates a new containing block for descendants with position: fixed. I had buttons in my <header /> that should've been fixed to the bottom of the viewport on mobile. But they kept sticking to the top instead β right under the navbar.
HeroUI's Navbar in my app had backdrop-filter property set on the <nav />, trapping my fixed <div /> inside it. In the end, I fixed the issue by dropping that backdrop-filter value. The issue wasn't the position all along.
Wow, I needed this library, like, the day before yesterday. I'm obsessed with keyboard shortcuts in every app I build, so it'll definitely come in handy. And this came out the same week that Frontend Focus issue shared an article on the subject: https://t.co/LhWnYWVcaI
We released a new TanStack library this week.
Introducing TanStack Hotkeys!
Setting up keyboard shortcuts is supposed to be easy and only take a few lines of code, right? Well, there are enough small "gotchas" that can eventually add up to an annoying amount of complexity.
Postgres doesn't have MySQL's ON UPDATE CURRENT_TIMESTAMP for auto-updating timestamps.
Here's the pattern I use in every project - one reusable function, attach to any table that needs it. No client-side date logic needed.
This is the kind of micro-polish that makes apps feel professional vs. "good enough". Building https://t.co/mGdEsftTzw - an AI text editor where these details matter.
A small UX detail I like to implement in every app with tooltips: smart delays without flickers.
First hover β normal delay (e. g. 500ms)
Moving between adjacent buttons β instant
Leave and return β delay resets
30 second demo + the React hook that makes it work π
