Yo, this is actually disgusting.
Look at this apartment in Kodaira City, Tokyo â completely covered in garbage, overflowing trash bags, and filth everywhere.
This is what happens when large numbers of foreigners with completely different hygiene standards and rule awareness move into Japanese residential areas.
Iâm just an ordinary Japanese citizen.
Multiple surveys of Japanese landlords and property managers consistently show the same thing:
- âGarbage disposal rule violationsâ is one of the top 2 most common complaints with foreign tenants (alongside noise).
- Many report repeated issues with improper sorting, wrong-day dumping, and trash being left to rot.
Itâs not âa few bad apples.â
Itâs a recurring pattern caused by huge cultural gaps in cleanliness and public manners.
We Japanese have built clean, orderly neighborhoods over generations.
Yet in the name of âmulticultural coexistence,â our daily lives are being ruined by this kind of mess.
Japan must stop sacrificing the quality of life of its own citizens.
We have every right to demand that people who live here follow Japanese rules â or go back to where they came from.
