Recovering from a bad school experience can take years not weeks. There is mental baggage that teachers carry with them that no one can see or thinks to ask about. 2/3 jobs down the line it can still be hovering in someone's head. That isn't that persons fault - at all!

@RogersHistory I wish I hadn’t thought this was normal when it was happening to me.
Sometimes it still does. But it took A LOT of those days for me to realise that it shouldn’t be the norm.
This tweet is so, so important. Give it a week, half a term, a term. Move schools. I’ve come from hating teaching and thinking I’m the worst at everything to loving it again. Have faith, or at least play the long con, gentle readers.
