From Dropout to Branding Pro: My Journey to Mastery 🎓✨

Once upon a time, I hit rock bottom—kicked out of college for selling pot, facing the harsh reality of post-incarceration in America, struggling to find my footing in society as a felon.

The only job I could secure after coming home was at McDonald’s, working 12-hour shifts to provide for my son Cam, for whom I am the sole active parent.

But here's the thing, I didn’t stay there.

I became a community activist helping violence prevention, recidivism, criminal justice, and Black male achievement initiatives both in my city and nationally.

I lobbied at my state capital and in DC with Cut50 to get The First Step Act passed thus reducing recidivism, decreasing the federal inmate population, and maintaining public safety.

I taught myself design, networking, web development, project management, copywriting and countless other valuable skills when I got home from work each evening.

I learned how to deal with client objections as an introvert.

I built connections with people whom I admired and wanted to learn from.

I’ve now worked with over 20 amazing brands and partners to help drive real-world results from marketing and advertising over the past 5 years. Just imagine, less than a decade ago I was sitting in a prison cell and even more recently I was working dead end jobs I hated.

Now I’m free in so many ways.

I was able to finally quit my 9-5 and make a living doing what I love… reaching back and helping others create a sustainable lifestyle doing what they love.

I’m free to choose who I work with and how I want to present myself.

I get to spend time with my son everyday and teach him things my father never had the chance to teach me.

I’m a testament that internet money and entrepreneurship aren’t a scam.

Hopefully I can be a beacon to someone else who needs motivation or resources to succeed in life.
