Another couple of months of No Post - recommend highly.
I imagine Luke is lying back having a post coital cigarette* with Christopher, it wasn’t great but at least it’s over - and no Labour pains to worry about.
* thanks to Bish, Winston and NZTU
Really enjoying not being a financial backer of The Post! I see that TracyW has taken the grand old paper full Tory-tabloid, even using a right wing polling company to try and shape the news. Shame on all their houses
The Post is unashamedly morphing into NZHerald lite, remember when we were worried about a merger between the two!! If democracy wasn’t dying you would have to laugh
I’ve abandoned my Post, but won’t be charged! That’s the point - my subscription won’t help finance their dirtying of NZ politics. I have realised Malpass isn’t the disease, just a very unpleasant symptom.
I’ve always wondered how The Post decides whether Luke’s work is ‘Analysis’, ‘Politics’, or ‘Opinion’ - maybe Vindictive Rubbish should be his new byline…
Another front page assassination of successful leftish, female, brown politician, mayor this time, 4 page lift out from NZTU (mates’ rates?), National Party promo for Tawa (while reviewing Ohariu), and it’s only Tuesday. Eat our dust NZHerald…
The new leadership at Stuff have produced a Wednesday Post with 14 full page ads, and they expect we subscribers to pay $3+ The new business model is clever, paying to receive junk mail
The Post really is turning into NZHerald light with pages devoted to anti government rhetoric while giving a free pass to Luxon and co. No mention of Tesla-gate and Luke admires racism as ‘a good issue’. Sad or sick?
Luke’s column on the economy reminds us all that he has never stopped writing for The (right wing) New Zealand Initiative. Like the National Party he has no ideas, just a hope that infinite economic growth coupled with low wages will keep his sponsors happy…
Today, 1/2 page blue on Post checking facts, 1/4 page on not being in politician’s pocket, 134 political reporters but no mention of Luxon’s negativity tirade… Balanced? I think not…
(Did get on Stuff though… - so where IS the problem?)
After years of putting business ahead of science Luke now chooses to endorse JC and her ‘expertise’ on GM. Just when you think The Post is making him objective he reverts to blind faith in National policy. Propaganda not journalism.
Luke’s analysis of Woods’ shares issue is unsurprisingly shallow. He focuses on negatives for Labour but doesn’t ask why the attack is now? Who has lot$ of skin in this airport game? Who wants Woods’ wife not to vote against privatisation? Dirty Politic$…
So, The Post is beholden to no one, but with other msm joins the National Party with repeated attacks on Jan Tinetti. Misogyny is still alive and well in those wanting to change the government.
So, Malpass AND Wilson now have doubts about Luxon. Coincidence or conspiracy? Who is the invisible power (not the official National Party) that tells their media what to think?
