PNR used to have an extensive network of rail lines streching from San Fernando, La Union all the way to Legazpi, Albay. Trains also once reached Antipolo, Batangas, Cabanatuan, Cavite, Montalban, and Pagsanjan. Trains also used to operate in Panay Island and Cebu!
