You have a hard time believing successful people because successful people are usually intelligent.

• Who's story are we telling?
Not so common scenario(Interesting) - specific characters(I know them) - common problems(Understanding)
Copy funnel:
Uncommon problem/solution (Interesting) - specific audience(I know them) - Call To Action(Understanding)
Telling stories is copy.
• Communication is rarely verbal
70-93% of all communication is non-verbal.
Action description blocks + 3 words of affirming dialogue = Attention grab
In copy that's a product video walkthrough, testimonials or simply font styles.
• Less Is Best
Editing a page of a scripts is all subtraction, characters shouldn't over explain themselves (unless that's their character)
Same reason landing pages aren't big blocks of text.
• WHO raised you not being important to your success is just as dumb as someone saying "money doesn't buy happiness". If your parents can guarantee you won't be hungry or homeless, you're already in the top 15%....
• If WHERE you were raised isn't so important, why do millions of people risk their lives to get to America?
Successful people live near other successful people, who guarantee their kids have the best resources (ie. coding classes, robotics club, study abroad experiences)
