Relationship tip #7:
Acknowledge the fact that they could have spent their money on anything else, so it means a lot that they chose to give it to your organization.

Relationship tip #6:
The purpose of showing gratitude is to make them feel appreciated for the contribution they’ve made. Even if donors never plan on donating again, you’ll at least have established a good relationship with them.

Relationship tip #5:
Put in the extra effort to engage with your supporters on a deeper level. Get to know them for them, not just as another donor stat in your fundraising data.

Organization Highlight: Positive Resource Connection
Positive Resource Connection "provides HIV education, prevention, testing, and case management for persons living with HIV/AIDS, their families and loved ones, persons at risk for HIV, and the general public.”
Relationship tip #4:
Don't just guess what your supporters think or want: ASK THEM. Giving donors the opportunity for their voices to be heard offers many benefits for your nonprofit.

Relationship tip #3:
Be sure to inform your people of any events, celebrations, or other updates your organization has. You may know all the happenings within your nonprofit, but your people don't. So overshare! You never know what your supporters will be interested in knowing.
"Where can I find the Donaide Podcast?" you may be asking.
You can listen to the Donaide Podcast on Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, and our website (https://t.co/mxzpWLKyy8). Also be sure to follow @donaidepodcast on Instagram!
Relationship tip #2:
Your donors WANT to know the impact their money made (we promise). Many people who donate won’t be very enthusiastic about donating again if you don’t inform them of how their gift was used. Just keep communicating with them - no matter the gift amount!
It’s important that you show your gratitude if you want your donors to feel like their contribution mattered to you.
For example, send handwritten thank-you cards to each donor who gave to your nonprofit. ❤️ ✉️
